These devotional services take a hard look at specific passages in scripture using the shorter prayer services in the Lutheran Service Book. They go through the books of the Bible (with the exception of the Feasts and Festivals which look at assigned readings for the days they were recorded) to explore what they are saying and how this connects with the rest of scripture. The ones recorded earlier (Genesis, John’s epistles, Jude, Revelation, and the first half of Job) range from 15-20 minutes while the more recent devotional series go more in depth and are sometimes around 45 minutes.
