Sermon

Sermon Text: Luke 17:11-16

“Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.” With these words, Jesus declared that the Samaritan was healed not only in flesh but in spirit from sin and death. We have received the same good news: we are saved from sin and death, but what way do we go? Our way might not show our thankfulness to God, which is what we would expect as a response in faith. We might expect a response like the Samaritan who realized he was as good as dead in his unbelief but then found salvation in his Lord who stood right in front of him. We have our Lord present in our worship and giving us salvation through faith here in worship. Therefore, let us respond in faith. Rise, let us go from here, that we might share the love of our Lord to the world.
