Sermon

Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God and the firstborn of creation. He created all things, therefore he is the heir of all things. We can see the power and ordering of God through the creation Jesus made, and we can see God when we view him in the flesh. It stands to reason that if Jesus is sacrificed at the cross, he also reconciled all things to God at the cross. Even the creation itself will be renewed on the Last Day. But we also know that not all will be saved. The reason is that they do not have faith joining them to Christ and are therefore outside of the promises of God. We pray that all may live in faith, living like Christ has died for our sins, and should spread the good news that in Christ we may be saved. Currently, we are in his kingdom spanning heaven and earth, but are awaiting the day when all things will be renewed.
