Fourth Sunday after Pentecost
Sermon Text: Matthew 10:32-33 (Brother Christ Speaking to Our Father)
This Father’s Day we will be looking to Jesus speaking to our heavenly Father in Matthew 10:32-33. Jesus is the good Son. He is perfect. Normally when you find your perfect sibling talking about you to your parents, you get nervous because they can point out all your faults. If our Father compares us to Jesus, we will come off as the worst of sinners. However, when we love Christ, Christ loves us, forgives us, and speaks well of us to the Father. Christ also takes the blame for all our sins at the cross. Therefore, you become the good child in Jesus with your heavenly Father looking upon you with pride.
