Jeremiah 33:14-16   

Jesus is the righteous branch of David. He grows forth from sinners to make them righteous. Jesus also cuts off our sin through forgiveness so our sin can be cast aside but are kept close to God. Living in righteousness not only means doing good things but also being made good by Christ through forgiveness.
