Fifth Sunday of Easter
Sermon Text: John 14:6 (Christ Truly is the Way)
Jesus declares he is THE Truth, THE Way, and THE Life. This means that he alone is the true way into eternal life; there is no other. People might say that everyone has their own truth, but that is not how Truth works. Something is either true or it is not true. It either is or it is not; and this is one of the fundamental laws of logic and thought. Therefore, we as Christians cannot say there are other paths to salvation or doubt that Christ is the Way for that is declaring Christ as the Truth to be a liar. We have proof of him being the Way to salvation; he died and rose again, thus demonstrating salvation. He also performed many miracles healing, exorcizing demons, etc. which point to what paradise is like. We should not compromise with people who doubt Christ’s Truth because that would be denying Truth itself. Instead, let us share the Truth of Christ alongside the promises of his salvation, such as love, forgiveness, and faithfulness.
